# Clock mini vs Flip Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Clock mini at 5.0 against Flip Clock's 4.3. Flip Clock's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (491 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clock mini sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Flip Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clock mini holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 491 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 49% of Clock mini's written reviews are positive against 71% of Flip Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Clock mini ships an update every 5 weeks, Flip Clock every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
