# BudgetGPS vs Tookan Manager

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BudgetGPS at 100% against Tookan Manager's 31%. BudgetGPS also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Tookan Manager's advantage is rating (2.6 vs 2.0) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tookan Manager holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of BudgetGPS's written reviews are positive against 31% of Tookan Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BudgetGPS ships an update every 3 months, Tookan Manager every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
