# Copy My Data vs Contact Transfer App

Copy My Data and Contact Transfer App both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Contact Transfer App's written reviews are positive against 29% of Copy My Data's. Contact Transfer App also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.6). Copy My Data's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 143) and chart position (#185 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Copy My Data sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Contact Transfer App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Copy My Data holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Copy My Data has 16K ratings behind it against 143, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Copy My Data's written reviews are positive against 83% of Contact Transfer App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Copy My Data ships an update every 10 days, Contact Transfer App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
