# BriefCamera vs Pure Budget

The clearest difference is ads: BriefCamera at none against Pure Budget's shown. BriefCamera also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.4). Pure Budget's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BriefCamera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pure Budget sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BriefCamera ships an update every 7 months, Pure Budget monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
