# Air Flight Tracker vs Aboard

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Air Flight Tracker at none against Aboard's 3. Air Flight Tracker also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (396 vs 12). Aboard's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 60%). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aboard sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Air Flight Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Air Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Flight Tracker has 396 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Air Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 71% of Aboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
