# Air Flight Tracker vs Air Traffic

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Air Flight Tracker at none against Air Traffic's 3. Air Flight Tracker also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (396 vs 9). Air Traffic's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Air Traffic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Air Flight Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Air Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Air Flight Tracker has 396 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Air Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 80% of Air Traffic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Air Flight Tracker ships an update every 3 months, Air Traffic every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
