# BLADE vs ReachTV

The clearest difference is monetization model: ReachTV at free against BLADE's free with in-app purchases. ReachTV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). BLADE's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReachTV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BLADE has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BLADE ships an update every 5 weeks, ReachTV every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
