# BLADE vs RealCar

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RealCar at 100% against BLADE's 74%. RealCar also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BLADE's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RealCar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BLADE has 17 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of BLADE's written reviews are positive against 100% of RealCar's.

BLADE ships an update every 2 months, RealCar every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
