# BLADE vs BlackWolf 2.0

The clearest difference is monetization model: BlackWolf 2.0 at free against BLADE's free with in-app purchases. BlackWolf 2.0 also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BLADE's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BlackWolf 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BLADE has 17 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BLADE ships an update every 2 months, BlackWolf 2.0 every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
