# BLADE vs Villion

The clearest difference is update cadence: Villion at every 6 days against BLADE's every 2 months. Villion also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). BLADE's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Villion holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BLADE has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BLADE ships an update every 2 months, Villion every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
