# Group SMS vs SMS from PC

The clearest difference is rating: SMS from PC at 4.2 against Group SMS's 3.0. SMS from PC also leads on ratings volume (13 vs 3) and device support (3 vs 1). Group SMS's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (25% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Group SMS sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SMS from PC sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMS from PC holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Group SMS's written reviews are positive against 0% of SMS from PC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Group SMS ships an update fortnightly, SMS from PC every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
