# Spades vs PrefA

The clearest difference is rating: Spades at 4.7 against PrefA's 2.8. Spades also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 16 months). PrefA's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrefA sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Spades asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spades holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8.
