# Luxy vs Livejoy

The clearest difference is rating: Luxy at 4.7 against Livejoy's 2.8. Luxy also leads on ratings volume (105K vs 64) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). Livejoy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Luxy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Livejoy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Luxy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luxy has 105K ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Luxy's written reviews are positive against 43% of Livejoy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Luxy ships an update every 2 weeks, Livejoy monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
