# iGenii vs HomeBrew Kit

The clearest difference is monetization model: HomeBrew Kit at free against iGenii's subscription. HomeBrew Kit also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iGenii ships an update every 6 months, HomeBrew Kit every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
