# Designkit vs Poster Maker

The clearest difference is ads: Designkit at none against Poster Maker's shown. Designkit also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 76%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Designkit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Poster Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poster Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 305 and 405 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Designkit's written reviews are positive against 76% of Poster Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Designkit ships an update every 8 days, Poster Maker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
