# Flir One vs DC

The clearest difference is rating: Flir One at 4.6 against DC's 3.9. Flir One also leads on ratings volume (7.6K vs 27). DC's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (54% vs 21%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flir One sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. DC asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flir One holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flir One has 7.6K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Flir One's written reviews are positive against 54% of DC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flir One ships an update every 5 weeks, DC every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
