# Explore Cayman vs Aruba Smart Map

The clearest difference is rating: Explore Cayman at 4.8 against Aruba Smart Map's 4.2. Explore Cayman also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 38). Aruba Smart Map's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Explore Cayman holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Explore Cayman has 1.5K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Explore Cayman's written reviews are positive against 83% of Aruba Smart Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Explore Cayman ships an update every 4 months, Aruba Smart Map every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
