# E! vs The Emmys

The clearest difference is rating: E! at 4.5 against The Emmys's 3.9. E! also leads on ratings volume (9.9K vs 28) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). The Emmys's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 33%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

E! holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: E! has 9.9K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of E!'s written reviews are positive against 64% of The Emmys's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

E! ships an update every 5 weeks, The Emmys every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
