# E! vs Daily Dirt

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Daily Dirt at 100% against E!'s 33%. Daily Dirt also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). E!'s advantage is ratings volume (9.8K vs 43) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Daily Dirt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: E! has 9.8K ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of E!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Daily Dirt's.

E! ships an update every 5 weeks, Daily Dirt every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
