# ABC Kids vs Write & Learn

The clearest difference is rating: Write & Learn at 5.0 against ABC Kids's 4.1. ABC Kids's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 36 months) and ratings volume (126 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ABC Kids sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Write & Learn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Write & Learn holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ABC Kids has 126 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ABC Kids ships an update every 5 months, Write & Learn every 36 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
