# Total Traffic vs Traffic Jam Map

The clearest difference is rating: Traffic Jam Map at 3.5 against Total Traffic's 2.1. Total Traffic's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (11% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Traffic Jam Map holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Total Traffic's written reviews are positive against 0% of Traffic Jam Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
