# Newsmax vs Truth+

The clearest difference is ads: Newsmax at none against Truth+'s shown. Newsmax also leads on ratings volume (176K vs 462) and chart position (#44 vs #175). Truth+'s advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 45%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Newsmax against 4.7 for Truth+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Newsmax has 176K ratings behind it against 462, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Newsmax's written reviews are positive against 71% of Truth+'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
