# PETROWATCH vs ETEnergyWorld

The clearest difference is monetization model: ETEnergyWorld at free against PETROWATCH's subscription. ETEnergyWorld also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months). PETROWATCH's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). On price, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PETROWATCH ships an update every 12 months, ETEnergyWorld every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
