# PETROWATCH vs Sustainable Plastics

The clearest difference is monetization model: Sustainable Plastics at free against PETROWATCH's subscription. Sustainable Plastics also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 12 months). PETROWATCH's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PETROWATCH ships an update every 12 months, Sustainable Plastics every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
