# BJ's Restaurants vs Jamba

The clearest difference is rating: Jamba at 4.8 against BJ's Restaurants's 4.1. Jamba also leads on ratings volume (132K vs 10K) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). BJ's Restaurants's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (35% vs 24%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Jamba holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jamba has 132K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of BJ's Restaurants's written reviews are positive against 24% of Jamba's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BJ's Restaurants ships an update every 3 months, Jamba monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
