# 澎湃新闻 vs 中国青年报

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 澎湃新闻 at 79% against 中国青年报's 0%. 澎湃新闻 also leads on ratings volume (2.6K vs 1). 中国青年报's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 澎湃新闻 sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. 中国青年报 asks for nothing beyond the download.

中国青年报 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 澎湃新闻 has 2.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of 澎湃新闻's written reviews are positive against 0% of 中国青年报's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

澎湃新闻 ships an update monthly, 中国青年报 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
