# FMC vs X

The clearest difference is update cadence: FMC at every 5 weeks against X's every 4 months. FMC also leads on ratings volume (92 vs 4). X's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for FMC against 5.0 for X. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FMC has 92 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FMC ships an update every 5 weeks, X every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
