# MBC Shahid vs Smart Tabla

The clearest difference is rating: Smart Tabla at 5.0 against MBC Shahid's 3.0. Smart Tabla also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). MBC Shahid's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (22K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MBC Shahid sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Smart Tabla asks for nothing beyond the download.

Smart Tabla holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MBC Shahid has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of MBC Shahid's written reviews are positive against 0% of Smart Tabla's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBC Shahid ships an update fortnightly, Smart Tabla every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
