# MBC Shahid vs Anime Slayer

The clearest difference is rating: Anime Slayer at 4.2 against MBC Shahid's 3.0. Anime Slayer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). MBC Shahid's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MBC Shahid sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Anime Slayer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Slayer holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MBC Shahid has 23K ratings behind it against 600, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of MBC Shahid's written reviews are positive against 0% of Anime Slayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MBC Shahid ships an update fortnightly, Anime Slayer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
