# New BMI Calculator vs Fasty

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fasty at 100% against New BMI Calculator's 20%. Fasty also leads on rating (4.9 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). New BMI Calculator's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. New BMI Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fasty asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fasty holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fasty has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of New BMI Calculator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fasty's.

New BMI Calculator ships an update every 3 weeks, Fasty every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
