# 网易云课堂 vs 光环

网易云课堂 and 光环 both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 66% of 网易云课堂's written reviews are positive against 0% of 光环's. 网易云课堂 also leads on ratings volume (1K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). 光环's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 网易云课堂 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 光环 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

光环 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 网易云课堂 has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of 网易云课堂's written reviews are positive against 0% of 光环's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

网易云课堂 ships an update fortnightly, 光环 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
