# Echo Prayer vs Discover Eastside

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Discover Eastside at none against Echo Prayer's 10. Discover Eastside also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%). Echo Prayer's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 13) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo Prayer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Discover Eastside asks for nothing beyond the download.

Echo Prayer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo Prayer has 22K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Echo Prayer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Discover Eastside's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Echo Prayer ships an update monthly, Discover Eastside every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
