# Echo Prayer vs Cedar

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Echo Prayer at 22K against Cedar's 2. Echo Prayer also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Cedar's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo Prayer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Cedar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cedar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo Prayer has 22K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Echo Prayer ships an update monthly, Cedar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
