# Echo Prayer vs Central OS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Central OS at none against Echo Prayer's 10. Central OS also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Echo Prayer's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo Prayer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Central OS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Central OS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Echo Prayer has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Echo Prayer ships an update monthly, Central OS every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
