# Save vs PC Express

The clearest difference is ads: Save at none against PC Express's shown. Save also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). PC Express's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PC Express holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 441 and 1.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Save's written reviews are positive against 25% of PC Express's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Save ships an update every 2 months, PC Express every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
