# Music Maker JAM vs Clear Wave

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Music Maker JAM at 11K against Clear Wave's 7. Music Maker JAM also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Clear Wave's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Music Maker JAM sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Clear Wave sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Music Maker JAM holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Music Maker JAM has 11K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Music Maker JAM ships an update monthly, Clear Wave every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
