# Weekly vs This Week

The clearest difference is update cadence: Weekly at every 6 weeks against This Week's every 11 months. Weekly also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (91% vs 81%). This Week's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 15.6). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

This Week holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 74 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Weekly's written reviews are positive against 81% of This Week's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Weekly ships an update every 6 weeks, This Week every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
