# miEbooks vs ARALinks eReader

The clearest difference is rating: ARALinks eReader at 4.3 against miEbooks's 3.9. miEbooks's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (187 vs 24). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ARALinks eReader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: miEbooks has 187 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of miEbooks's written reviews are positive against 45% of ARALinks eReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

miEbooks ships an update every 3 months, ARALinks eReader every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
