# Datebook vs HitoMatch

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Datebook at none against HitoMatch's 2. Datebook also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 12.0). HitoMatch's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HitoMatch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month. Datebook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Datebook holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Datebook's written reviews are positive against 100% of HitoMatch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Datebook ships an update monthly, HitoMatch every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
