# Candy Camera vs Instant Selfie HD

The clearest difference is ads: Instant Selfie HD at none against Candy Camera's shown. Instant Selfie HD also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 17.0). Candy Camera's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Candy Camera sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Instant Selfie HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Candy Camera ships an update every 3 days, Instant Selfie HD every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
