# Магнит vs BUFFET

The clearest difference is rating: Магнит at 4.4 against BUFFET's 3.9. Магнит also leads on ratings volume (3.1K vs 9) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). BUFFET's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Магнит holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Магнит has 3.1K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Магнит's written reviews are positive against 25% of BUFFET's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Магнит ships an update weekly, BUFFET every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
