# Swimtopia vs Field Status

Swimtopia and Field Status both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Field Status's written reviews are positive against 52% of Swimtopia's. Field Status also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Swimtopia's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 36) and chart position (#100 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swimtopia sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Field Status sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Swimtopia against 4.8 for Field Status. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swimtopia has 6K ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 52% of Swimtopia's written reviews are positive against 100% of Field Status's.

Swimtopia ships an update every 2 months, Field Status every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
