# Swimtopia vs AthleticOps

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AthleticOps at none against Swimtopia's 2. AthleticOps also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Swimtopia's advantage is ratings volume (6K vs 7) and chart position (#91 vs unranked). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Swimtopia sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. AthleticOps asks for nothing beyond the download.

AthleticOps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Swimtopia has 6K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Swimtopia ships an update every 2 months, AthleticOps weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
