# Wave vs MobileMic Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MobileMic Pro at 100% against Wave's 29%. MobileMic Pro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and in-app purchases (none vs 4). Wave's advantage is ratings volume (6.7K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wave sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. MobileMic Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

MobileMic Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wave has 6.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of Wave's written reviews are positive against 100% of MobileMic Pro's.

Wave ships an update every 3 weeks, MobileMic Pro every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
