# VB Scoreboard Basic vs Scoreboard

The clearest difference is rating: Scoreboard at 4.8 against VB Scoreboard Basic's 3.4. Scoreboard also leads on ratings volume (80 vs 5). VB Scoreboard Basic's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VB Scoreboard Basic sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Scoreboard sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scoreboard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scoreboard has 80 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of VB Scoreboard Basic's written reviews are positive against 75% of Scoreboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VB Scoreboard Basic ships an update every 3 weeks, Scoreboard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
