# O'Reilly vs BIB TV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: O'Reilly at none against BIB TV's 11. O'Reilly also leads on ratings volume (34K vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). BIB TV's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BIB TV sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. O'Reilly asks for nothing beyond the download.

BIB TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: O'Reilly has 34K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

O'Reilly ships an update fortnightly, BIB TV monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
