# O'Reilly vs K8s Guide

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: O'Reilly at none against K8s Guide's 3. O'Reilly also leads on ratings volume (34K vs 4). K8s Guide's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. K8s Guide sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. O'Reilly asks for nothing beyond the download.

K8s Guide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: O'Reilly has 34K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

O'Reilly ships an update fortnightly, K8s Guide every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
