# Evernote Scannable vs Notebook

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Notebook at 64% against Evernote Scannable's 33%. Notebook also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). Evernote Scannable's advantage is ratings volume (418K vs 24K) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Evernote Scannable sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Notebook sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Evernote Scannable holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evernote Scannable has 418K ratings behind it against 24K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Evernote Scannable's written reviews are positive against 64% of Notebook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evernote Scannable ships an update every 2 months, Notebook every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
