# Shoot The Balls vs PinOut!

The clearest difference is update cadence: PinOut! at every 2 weeks against Shoot The Balls's every 9 months. PinOut! also leads on ratings volume (7.1K vs 17). Shoot The Balls's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (8.1 vs 13.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shoot The Balls sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PinOut! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PinOut! holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PinOut! has 7.1K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Shoot The Balls's written reviews are positive against 67% of PinOut!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shoot The Balls ships an update every 9 months, PinOut! every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
