# FoxScanner Mini vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Scanner at 5.0 against FoxScanner Mini's 4.6. FoxScanner Mini's advantage is ratings volume (368 vs 27). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FoxScanner Mini sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and PDF Scanner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Scanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoxScanner Mini has 368 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FoxScanner Mini ships an update monthly, PDF Scanner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
